Finisar is a provider of optical subsystems and components that connect short-distance local area networks, storage area networks, longer distance metropolitan area networks, fiber-to-the-home networks, cable television networks and wide area networks.

On January 18, 2028, Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp. (Freddie Mac) was sued for violations of the federal securities laws in the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York on behalf of shareholders from August 1, 2006 to November 20, 2007.
